DFM: You’ve had a diverse career political campaigns, coaching, and even acting in SciFi movies. What led you to explore the world of music, and how has it become an integral part of your life?<\/h2>\n

Michelle Mras: <\/strong>Life has its own rhythm, and I’ve always been attuned to various melodies. Music, forme, is an extension of my experiences. It became a therapeutic outlet during challenging times, allowingme to express emotions that words couldn’t capture. It has now evolved into a powerful tool to inspire andconnect with others.<\/p>\n

DFM: Your recently released music EP album reflects a new dimension of your creativity. Can you share more about the inspiration behindthis musical venture and the significance of the songs in your EP?<\/h2>\n

Michelle Mras:: <\/strong>The inspiration comes from embracing life’s journey – the highs, the lows, and everything in between. Each song in the EP represents a chapter of resilience, empowerment, and unapologetic authenticity. “Both Sides Now,” for instance, is about maturing and breaking through belief systems that have kept us playing small in life, while “Don\u2019t Get Around Much Anymore” is a celebration of overcoming the challenges of stepping out of your comfort zones to become your best self.<\/p>\n

DFM: You’ re known for your livestreamTV show, MentalShift, the Denim & Pearls podcast, and your speaking engagements. How does your experience in public speaking influence your approach to music, andvice versa?<\/h2>\n

Michelle Mras: <\/strong>Both platforms share a common thread: storytelling. Whether through spokenwords or melodies, the goal is to connect with the audience on a deeper level. Public speaking hashoned my ability to communicate messages effectively, and I find a similar rhythm in crafting lyricsand melodies to convey emotions and experiences.<\/p>\n

DFM: Your journey includes battling a Traumatic Brain Injury and Breast Cancer. How has music played a role in your healing process, and what message do you hope to convey through your music to others facing challenges?<\/h2>\n

Michelle Mras: <\/strong>Music became a refuge during those tough times. Singing is how I communicated my needs during the over two years I was unable to speak or move without assistance. The vibration of music provided space for solace, helped me express my vulnerability, and ignited my inner strength. My music carries a message of hope, resilience, and the power of embracing one’s authentic self. I deepest desire is to be an example for others facing challenges to know that they are not alone, and there’s strengthin embracing their unique melody.<\/p>\n

DFM: Your driving thought is that every day is a gift. How does thisphilosophy manifest in your music, and what do you hope<\/h2>\n

listeners take away from your songs?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Michelle Mras: <\/strong>Every song is a celebration of life’s moments, big or small. It’s a reminder to savor the present, embrace authenticity, and live unapologetically. I hope listeners feel inspired to appreciate the beauty of their own journey and find courage to be the best version of themselves.<\/p>\n
